The Archie K. Davis Award, named for the late banker, businessman, historian and scholar, is awarded by the Wachovia Historical Society to honor an individual who has made significant contributions to regional and cultural history. It is my great honor tonight to introduce the 2013 recipient of this award: The Rev. Dr. Nola Knouse

At the 2013 Annual Meeting of the Wachovia Historical Society, The Rev. Dr. Daniel Crews introduced The Rev. Dr. Nola Knouse, Director of the Moravian Music Foundation. Dr. Crews presented the Society's Archie K. Davis Award to Dr. Knouse. In his remarks, Dr. Crews said that, while Nola is best known for her work in Moravian music, she has also rendered great service in interpreting the Moravian historical and theological heritage and is a living embodiment of the ideals upon which Wachovia was founded.
